How to Build a Blackjack Table - Blackjack Table Plans

Build your own high quality blackjack table with this free downloadable blackjack table plans. These blackjack table plans contain step-by-step instructions to build a blackjack table. The table will measure approximately 6’ x 3’ and provide space for up to 7 players. This table will cost approximately $160 to $280 depending upon what options you choose for your table.

  • Pair of Folding Blackjack Table Legs
  • Black Paint
  • Optional - Dealer Chip Tray, Money Box, Bill Slot, Money paddle and Discard Tray.

Blackjack Table Plans

Step 1 - Draw Blackjack Table Plans

Draw the table onto one of the sheets of plywood and draw the rail onto the other sheet of plywood.

Draw a line halfway across both sheets of plywood, along the 8’ side. Measure 3” from the edge along the center line. Mark this spot. This is the center point for the arc lines. Draw the three arc lines first. Draw the rest of the table and rails based on the dimensions in the pictures.

Step 2 – Cut out table pieces and assembly rail

Use a jigsaw to cut out the table and both of the rail pieces. Glue and clamp the two rail pieces together. Pre-drill 9 holes into the bottom of the rail. Use 1 ¼” screws to attached the two rail together.

Step 3 – Cut out holes for Chip Tray and Money Slot

This is an optional step, cut out the holes only if you will be using a chip tray and/or money box. Measure the dimensions of the dealer chip tray you will be using. Add a ½” to both dimensions, this will allow for the felt blackjack table plans

Step 4 – Paint

Paint the bottom of the table with a flat black paint. blackjack table plans

Step 5 – Table Legs

Attach the foldable blackjack table legs to the table. Measure out at least 28” from the center of the table. blackjack table plans

Step 6 – Table Foam

Attach a piece of 6’ table foam using spray adhesive. Spray the table surface and lay foam on it. Trim edge and cut out chip tray and money slot holes. Optional: apply 2nd piece of foam. blackjack table foam

Step 7 – Blackjack Felt

Attach the blackjack felt layout to the table. Start at the middle of the table and staple. Next go to the other side and pull it tight and staple. Next go to an end of the table, pull tight and staple. Go to the other end, pull tight and staple. Continue by going halfway between staple points, pull and staple and then go to opposite side. Continue this process until you have staples about every 4-6” all the way around. Use a utility knife a cut 2 slits from corner to corner in the chip tray hole. Cut out for money slot and chip tray. Be sure to leave extra felt in the chip tray opening so that you can staple the felt to the felt to the sides of the opening. blackjack table felt

Step 8 – Rail Foam

Start by using the spray adhesive to attach the foam to the outside edge of the rail. . blackjack table felt Once the foam is attached to the outside edge, spray adhesive on the top and inside edge of the rail. Once the foam is wrapped on the rail, trim off the excess with a utility knife. Optional: You may do a second layer of foam if you chose. blackjack table plans blackjack table plans

Step 9 – Rail Vinyl

Lay the rail top side down onto the vinyl. Cut around the rail leaving about 9” of extra vinyl around the rail. Start stapling the vinyl in the middle of the rail. Always staple the outside edge of the rail first. Then pull it as tight as you can and staple the inside edge of the rail in place. From the middle, complete one side of the rail and then the other. Work in about 6” sections at a time. The vinyl will want to bunch up on the outside edge. That is why working in small sections is best. The inside of the rail will be difficult to pull the vinyl to the rail. Cut slits in the vinyl to help solve this problem. This is the most difficult part of building your table. It is also one of the most important for appearance. Step 10 – Finish Table

The rail can either be installed with screws from underneath or just sit on top of the table. Install the chip tray, discard tray, money box, bill slot and money paddle. You will also a Blackjack shoe and playing cards. blackjack table felt
